Planning and Inspiration

+ Great Design makes for Great Results!

Rockside works closely with a number of talented Designers in Saskatchewan. We encourage our clients to get professional design input to help get the most from their kitchen or millwork project. For those who already have a design, we are able to turn those ideas and rough sketches into a visually clear set of drawings with renderings.

+ Does Rockside offer Design Assistance?

We do offer a free Design Consult from one of 3 different Saskatchewan design studios for clients who contract our services.

+ What does a Kitchen Renovation cost?

Buying cabinets can be like buying a car. There is a huge range in features, quality and price. A basic kitchen in a pre-finished material and laminate countertops with quality European hardware would be around $14,000 complete. A high-end kitchen in lacquered hardwood, with quartz counters and lots of fancy features, carvings and inserts could be over $ 90,000. Most of our kitchens are in the $ 20-30,000 price range.

+ Why is my Rockside kitchen/job quote a bit higher than other firms?

Our goal is to use only the best products and hardware available, and to build cabinets that will last, be beautiful and functional. There is always a way to do things more cheaply, and many shops have gone in that direction. Our clients appreciate quality and understand that it costs a bit more.

+ Where can I view any photos of your previous projects?

Our website contains lots of project portfolio photos. We also use Facebook and Instagram to keep more current examples of our work and shop projects available for viewing.

+ Do you offer colour samples to take home?

We work with some great product suppliers and are always happy to supply samples for use during the design process. For customers who are wanting a stained wood finish, we work closely to develop the specific colour you need. (We mix our own stains to give great control over the results) For clients who choose a pigmented lacquer for solid colour cabinets, we match the finish to Benjamin Moore paint colours.
